Jack MacDonald is an award-winning business, innovation and thought leader whose career spans a diverse range of leadership and technical roles in the Canadian Armed Forces, the federal government, and the private sector. As Vice President, Business Services at ADGA Group since 2024, Jack leads a cross-functional team of experts in Information Technology & Information Management, Human Resources, Security, Commercial, Quality, and Proposal Development.
Jack MacDonald is an award-winning business, innovation and thought leader whose career spans a diverse range of leadership and technical roles in the Canadian Armed Forces, the federal government, and the private sector. As Vice President, Business Services at ADGA Group since 2024, Jack leads a cross-functional team of experts in Information Technology & Information Management, Human Resources, Security, Commercial, Quality, and Proposal Development.
His strategic leadership is instrumental in driving operational efficiencies and enhancing business processes to reduce costs, increase competitiveness, and support the growth of ADGA’s Defence and Government Services professional services, technical services, and consultancy business lines. Prior to this appointment, he held senior roles such as Technical Director and Program Manager at ADGA.
A 27-year veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy, he has extensive expertise in engineering, program management, complex project and procurement, strategy development, and organizational change initiatives. Prior to joining ADGA in 2022, he was Head of Innovation, Technology & Socio-Economic Benefits at Babcock Canada. He also held leadership roles in several high-profile defence projects at the Department of National Defence, including the Canadian Surface Combatant program.
Jack holds both Bachelor and Master degrees in Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He is also certified in Cybersecurity by ISC2 and is an alumnus of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Global Executive Council NextPert program. His work has earned him numerous academic, leadership, military, and public service awards, and he is a published author of multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and conference papers.
Outside of his professional achievements, Jack enjoys spending downtime on the shores of Lake Calabogie. In the winter months, he can often be found coaching as a certified curling coach with CurlON and Curling Canada in rinks across Eastern Ontario.
